Initial Projects

Our initial four projects were duplexes built on land acquired in North Lawrence, MA. Each of these two-family structures contain two 3-bedroom units, providing ownership opportunities for two families. Each unit has a kitchen/dining area, living room and half bath on the first floor, and 3 bedrooms and a full bath on the upper level(s). A fenced in yard provides plenty of outdoor family space and off-street parking.

The homes we build are affordable because they have selling prices that keep monthly mortgage payments below current rates. This helps families to use more of their limited income for education and other important family priorities.

Thus far, eighteen income-eligible families have realized their dream of housing security and become first-time homebuyers with the support and assistance of Bread & Roses Housing Community Land Trust.
